The training lasts 2 days and covers the following topics:

Day 1

  1. Basics of lean management and management visual - at the beginning of the workshop, participants will be introduced to the fundamental principles of lean management, which are key to effective work organisation. They will also learn how to apply visual management to improve communication and process transparency.
  2. Selecting a workshop site and making observations - Workshop participants choose a specific workstation to analyse. Together they carry out an observation to identify waste and areas for improvement.
  3. Analysis of wastage based on observations from the area - In this part of the training, participants analyse identified wastages such as overproduction, waiting, transport or unnecessary movements, among others. Participants learn how to minimise these wastes, resulting in increased efficiency.
  4. Selection - red card system, on-site workshops - Participants learn a selection method using the red card tool to eliminate unnecessary items from the workplace. A practical workshop enables this method to be applied in real production conditions.
  5. Systematics - visualisation and solutions to support systematics - In this section we will focus on creating an organisational system through visualisation. Participants will learn how to implement signage and information boards to help keep workstations tidy.
  6. Cleaning - scheduling, introduction to autonomous maintenance - Participants will learn to create cleaning schedules and learn the basics of autonomous maintenance principles. They will learn the importance of regular cleaning for safety and efficiency.
  7. Workshops in position and creation of a schedule of activities - At the end of the day, participants will carry out a practical workshop at a chosen workplace where they will apply the knowledge they have acquired. They will create a schedule of activities to be carried out after the training, which will help them to implement the 5S method in their daily work.

Day 2

  1. Analysis of solutions implemented and activities carried out - The first part of the second day is dedicated to analysing the effects of the implemented solutions. Participants will evaluate the effectiveness of the measures taken during the first day and identify areas for further improvement.
  2. Continuous cleaning - scheduling, autonomous maintenance - In this section, participants continue with the theme of cleaning and autonomous maintenance. They will learn about best practices and tools to support these processes.
  3. Standardisation - securing solutions and the standardisation process - Participants will learn the importance of process standardisation as a key element of the 5S method. They will learn to create operational standards and the documentation necessary for their implementation.
  4. Building an audit system and auditing principles - In this part of the training we will focus on building a 5S audit system. Participants will learn how to conduct audits and the principles of effective auditing.
  5. Benefits of the 5S method and problems with its implementation - participants will discuss the benefits of implementing the 5S method and the difficulties encountered. In this way, they will be better prepared to deal with possible problems during implementation.
  6. Scaling up solutions - how to implement 5S globally in an organisation - At the end of the training, participants will learn how to scale 5S solutions throughout the organisation. They will learn strategies for implementing the method in different departments and locations of the company.
  7. Discussion panel - The training will culminate in a panel discussion where participants can share their experiences and ask questions about the 5S method. This is an excellent opportunity to exchange ideas and share best practices.
